Leaves, Laughter, and Halloween: Fall at Intrada

There is something about autumn in Pennsylvania that pulls everyone a little closer together. The mornings turn crisp, the maples along the roadsides light up in reds and golds, and the smell of woodsmoke drifts through the air. Around the office, that seasonal spirit shows up in the small moments too, from a warm drink on a cold morning to talk of weekend plans and costume ideas. Fall has a way of reminding us that the people we work with are also friends, neighbors, and part of a wider community. This time of year, we love to slow down and celebrate them.

Cheers to Our October Birthdays

We start the season by raising a mug to two members of our team celebrating birthdays this month. Dave H., one of our Tier 3 Network Technicians, brings deep experience and a steady hand to the toughest technical challenges, and we are grateful for everything he does behind the scenes. We also celebrate Tyler, a Tier 2 Network Technician whose helpful attitude and problem-solving keep things running smoothly for the people who count on him. Happy birthday to you both. We hope your day is filled with good food, good company, and maybe a slice of cake or two.

Making the Most of the Season

Once the calendar turns to fall, our team finds plenty of ways to enjoy everything the season has to offer, and Pennsylvania gives us no shortage of options.

Many of our employees look forward to Mifflinburg's annual Oktoberfest, a local favorite that captures the best of autumn in one lively weekend. The festive atmosphere, traditional brews, hearty food, and shared sense of celebration make it a wonderful place to unwind and catch up with familiar faces from around the region. It is the kind of event that reminds you how much fun a small-town gathering can be.

Others prefer to soak up the season a bit more quietly. Mike, one of our Tier 2 Network Technicians, spends this time of year out in the woods for turkey and deer hunting season. For Mike, fall means early mornings, fresh air, and the patience and stillness that come with time spent outdoors. Meanwhile, Tiffany, one of our Account Managers, takes to the open road for scenic drives through the countryside, chasing Pennsylvania's spectacular fall foliage as the hills shift from green to fire. No drive would be complete without a stop for a warm apple dumpling along the way, which might just be the most delicious way to celebrate the season.

Adventures on the Horizon

The fun does not stop with individual traditions. As Halloween approaches, several members of our team are planning a group trip to a haunted maze, ready to test their nerves and share plenty of laughs along the way. There is nothing like a few good scares to bring coworkers closer together, and we have a feeling the stories from that night will keep everyone entertained for weeks.

Looking a little further out, a group outing to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is also in the works. From the costumes and craftspeople to the food and festivities, it promises a full day of stepping back in time and enjoying one another's company outside the everyday routine.

The Main Event: Our Annual Halloween Party

Of all our fall traditions, none stirs up quite as much excitement as the Intrada Halloween party. Every year, our team goes all out with creative costumes, transforming the office into a lineup of characters both spooky and hilarious. The highlight of the evening is our Best Costume award, a friendly competition that brings out everyone's imagination and just a little healthy rivalry.

Last year, Mike Clayton claimed the top prize with a Ghostbusters costume that left the rest of us impressed and slightly outdone. He truly went all in, setting a high bar for anyone hoping to take the crown this time around. As the party draws near, the anticipation is building, and more than a few coworkers have been keeping their costume plans a closely guarded secret. Whether someone can dethrone last year's champion remains to be seen, but the competition is already shaping up to be a memorable one.

A Season for Connection

More than the events themselves, fall gives our team the chance to connect beyond the workday and get to know one another as people. Sharing these moments, whether at a festival, on the trails, along a winding country road, or in the middle of a costume contest, strengthens the sense of community that we value so deeply. We are thankful for the teamwork, the friendships, and the memories we continue to build together each season.

From all of us at Intrada, we wish you a warm and wonderful autumn filled with laughter, good company, and plenty of apple dumplings.
