Intrada’s David Steele to speak at PA Chamber’s 2021 IT Update Seminar
The Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce’s 2021 IT Update Seminar on Thursday, April 8th, will feature David Steele, Partner at Intrada Technologies, as one of the four panelists scheduled to speak. The virtual event will be held from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
Steele will discuss workforce training to mitigate IT vulnerabilities – a timely topic as cybercrime shot up by 300% in 2020 and nearly 1 in 4 business leaders acknowledged their company had been a victim of a cyber event.
Steele will offer details on how companies should implement and/or update their security policies to protect company data in conjunction with comprehensive employee awareness education and training. He will emphasize the importance of effective IT policies, best practices for employee training, and tips for common cyber scams targeting employees.
Other panelists include Bob Scaer, Chairman of Gannett Fleming, Kevin Switala of Gannett Fleming, and Clifford Shier, Managing Principal and Cyber Risk Strategist at Unisys. Scaer and Switala will reveal how Gannett Fleming successfully navigated through a ransomware attack; Shier will talk about technical approaches businesses can use to uncover and remediate malicious activity.
